Our relationship with Valvoline began with a real need to overcome the oil-related failures that we see in the field . From batch to batch from company to company, we continued to find issues with contamination, chemical composition, and the like in many of today's 'karting' oils.
We can design and test an engine well beyond how it will ever be used in racing but we cannot overcome inconsistencies commonly found in small-batch manufacturing and/or in the materials used making some of these products.
The opportunity to partner with a proven leader in the field of racing that actively participates at all levels of our sport was an easy one. With over 100 years of knowledge and technology they were able to create a product specific to our platform needs and the payoff shows!
The end-result is an oil proven to increase horsepower (compared to other 'racing' oils), lower engine temperatures (a by-product of friction reduction), maintain film strength (through the way it disperses methanol), and reduces wear (maintaining film strength AT our operating temperatures OVER time).
This product opened even our eyes to the most recent advancements in technology and the benefits to tailoring a product specific for an engine/application. Briggs & Stratton Racing oil formulated by Valvoline is the ONLY oil approved for Briggs & Stratton box stock racing.
